Robert E. Spitalnick

ROBERT E. SPITALNICK is an experienced matrimonial attorney and family law mediator. He was admitted to the bar of the State of New York in 1979 and the Florida Bar in 1987. He practices law in Great Neck, New York and concentrates in the areas of matrimonial law, real property, trusts and estates.

Mr. Spitalnick is a graduate of Hofstra University (B.A., 1975) and the New York Law School (J.D., 1978). He is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, having trained as a family law mediator under John M. Haynes. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law and Real Property Law Sections. He is a member of the committees on Real Property Law, Lawyer Referral and Professional Ethics of the Nassau County Bar Association. He also belongs to the Real Property, Trusts and Estates division of the Florida Bar.

Published articles include an "Overview of Amendments to 1997 Child Support Standards Act",@ New York Journal April 2,1998, page 1; "A Joint Bank Account Used to Purchase Marital Property: the Source of the Funds and Transmutation Approaches under Equitable Distribution Law" which was published in the Family Law Review, Vol. 24, No.4 (New York State Bar Association, 1992).

Mr. Spitalnick has lectured to lawyers and accountants on matrimonial law issues. Topics have included tax issues of divorce and separation, and ethical aspects of divorce practice.
